Proceedings

Computers in Cardiology will publish the conference proceedings containing the complete manuscripts of all presentations in the IEEE proceedings. The proceedings are usually available by the end of the year. A CD-ROM copy of the proceedings will be mailed directly to all registrants. Information for ordering printed copies of the proceedings, once they are available, will be available from the CinC web site.

In addition, the complete proceedings will be freely available via the CinC web site.

Oral Presentations

The time allocated for each presentation is 10 minutes, followed by 5 minutes for discussion (with the exception of the four Rosanna Degani Young Investigator Award finalists whose presentations are limited to 15 minutes). Speakers and session chairs are requested to strictly adhere to this schedule in order to finish sessions on time and to permit participants to move successfully from one parallel session to another.

All conference rooms will be equipped with a computer projection system (LCD projector and PC with Windows XP, PowerPoint 2007, Windows Media Player and Adobe Acrobat reader). Speakers are required to load and check their presentations at the Speaker Ready Room the day before the assigned session (from 7:30 on Monday for speakers of Monday sessions). A local staff member will be available for help.

Speakers are requested to meet with their session chairpersons in the scheduled conference room 10 minutes before the beginning of the session.

Poster Presentations

Posters should be at most 42" (106 cm) wide x 42" (106 cm) high.

Poster sessions will take place in the Outdoor Pavilion on Tuesday, September 15th from 17:30 until 19:30 and on Wednesday, September 16th, from 11:30 to 13:30. The Outdoor Pavilion is located behind the hotel in a white tent and may be accessed via the deck just outside the hotel ballrooms, or via the hotel’s restaurant. Authors are required to be present at their posters during their assigned session in order to discuss their work with other conference attendees.

Check-in: Authors must check-in with the session chair in the outdoor pavilion during the 30 minutes prior to the poster session.

Hanging Posters: For the Tuesday poster session, authors may hang their posters at the location designated with the correct number any time after noon. For the Wednesday poster session, posters may be hung any time after 7:00. Subject areas for the poster sessions will be clearly marked and poster boards will be numbered with a card corresponding to the page number of the abstract in this book.

Mounting materials will be provided.

Light lunch or drinks and snacks will be offered during the poster sessions.

Internet connection

Wi-Fi internet access will be available at the hotel and conference center. If you plan to use your own laptop computer to access the internet via the wireless secure network.

In addition, 3 Internet-connected PCs will be available for the convenience of attendees.
